AKB is a Texas based independent artist who has always had the rap itch. He started writing rap music way back in 1993 and soon after found himself in the music studio where he recorded some tracks for solo projects as well as featuring as a guest rapper on other collaborations.
His musical influences include such rap luminaries as Lords of the Underground, Redman, Blackmoon, Mos Def to name a few. His music style is thought provoking and non conventional; sometimes rapid-fire, but interspersed with a positive approach to social discourse and real life experiences.
Ultimately, AKB draws inspiration from his upbringing in Lagos, Nigeria and his music albeit Western is also heavily influenced by his roots.
