John “J-Berg” Edet (Beatbuxx Samurai) is a product of the streets of Gidi. Known for his lyrical dexterity on and off the records and as one of the most lethal battle emcees alive, J-Berg is a native of Crossriver state. He has always been a fan of music, thanks to his father he grew up with musical influences like Manu Dibango, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley and Fela.
He started rapping in 2003, but didn't go into it fully because he wanted to complete his education. While in school he used to battle other rappers and hold down cyphers. Finally he got signed to the management BEATBUXX360 ENT in July 2010 and hasn't looked back since. His crew and label mates include XII Gage, Ace ThaEmcee (formerly known as Murda Ace, but now as Ace ThaEmcee due to management) and Ms.Chief.
