Rock Steady, tell us more about yourself?


Yea, My names are Ibrahim Olalekan Oboromboro aka Rocksteady .That name Rocksteady was given to me by my friends way back in school,i hail from Ijebu Ode in Ogun State .I was born in Lagos into a Muslim family.I attended my primary and secondary education in Lagos as well. 


Music, why did you choose that as a profession?


Musiq has been something i had wanted to do since i was a kid,my father was a singer too but not a professional one .He sings and writes songs ,he even gave me some of the songs he wrote but out of carelessness i lost them.So i promised myself that i was going to fulfil my dream of being a musician,that was why i started singing and my friends also encouraged me with words that i could be the best in this career.


After your last hit, it took you a while to step back in the industry, could you tell us what actually happened then?


After my hit "Common Sense" i went back to really study the industry to come out with what my fans will be proud of because musiq is very serious to me.I found out that nowadays musiq in Nigeria do not stay for long on air because they do not have good lyrics that could sustain them . That is why i ma up with this track More Luv ,if you listen to it deep ,you will find out that it is totally different from what is corrently on airwave now by musicians. 


We listened to a new song "MORE LOVE", we must say its quit inspirational, tell us how the song came about


Everybody is singing about One Love ! One Love !! but they have not really taking time to think if one love is what we need. I think that one love is not enough to share ,we need more than one love for the world to be a better place.That was why i came up with that track More Luv. I believe that we need more luv for our world to be save from violence ,political killings,racial discrimination e.t.c. Musiq is the only weapon that we can use to pass on this message and that is all i have to contribute my quota to the world peace.

The track was produced by J Sleek at Tuface Idibia studio


Is the video out?


I have not done the video to that track yet but will be on it very soon as i am planning working with the United Nation on that track so that it can be heard all over the world.


Are you under any record label?


Yes,i am signed to my Record Label ROCKRHYME RECORDS Inc ,it is a new Record label and i believe that we are here for good to promot good musiq from talented artist .


When are we expecting your next album and any special features in it?


My forth coming album with title TURN YOUR FACE will be dropping by august, there i will be fearturing some artist like, Tuface Idibia/Kelly Handsome/Mallam Spicey/ Rapatuila/Odogwu/Jawon e.t.c .


What or how do you describe the entertainment industry here in Nigeria?


About the entertainment industry in Nigeria,i think we are really growing fast .Very very fast that the govt should come in and support us and i tell you that we are going to be as lucrative as the oil and gas industry too.Kudos to everyone that have contributed towards the progress and success of the entertainment industry ,i know we are going to be there very soon.


In the next few year, what should your fans be expecting from Rock Steady?


I always tell my fans to STAY TUNED TO ROCKSTEADY cause i am EVER READY TO ROCK YOU STEADY,BLESSED !


Any advice for the upcoming once

Words to gthe upcoming ,stay strong and be focused,there are alot of challenges on the way but only those that stay focus succeed. We need More Luv !! Rocksteady say so........
