Obiora Ohazurume aka Runz is no stranger to the Nigerian music scene. His first single Buga featuring Nasty J got him to the final round of the YNaija Next Best Thing competition which he subsequently went on to win. Buga got massive radio play and was popular with housemates in the Big Brother Africa house 2 seasons running. 

The singer and graphics designer makes a return with a love song titled 'The Closer I Get To You' produced by Funkmasta. This is the first of a series of singles leading up to his upcoming EP 'The Rehearsal'. Listen up and enjoy!

Bio

Meet RUNZ (Obiora Ohatz) a songwriter and singer with a knack for doing it all – he’s a graphic artist/animator and also nixed a promising opportunity to become an architect for the love of music. 

Few years back, RUNZ made an impression on the music scene with “Detention”- an Ex-O produced love song which was a big hit on campuses and radio stations across the country. He later on took a break to concentrate on his education whilst still recording. Last year also, His blend of pop and R&B rendered on heart thumping beats provided by the genius producer Ex-O culminating into the hit single - Buga, surely was something to take note of. 

He returns after a year long hiatus with this new tune.
