Joey Plus produced the winning track for the B.E.A.T band at the 2011 Star Quest TV talent hunt beating bands mentored by colleagues - Samklef, Phat E, Solja boy, Danny Young, Bjay and others.
Before Star Quest, Joey Plus – who mentored under Willie Oputa engineered tracks for the likes of Jerrilyn Mulbah ( West African Idols), Ice Prince, Spy da man, Blackfaze [Plantashun Boiz], Krazy Kulture and released a viral track titled ‘No tym’.
The Producer/singer took his recording career with the launch of the #Joeytunesday new music giveaway every tuesday via his Twitter account: @JoeyPlus. Internet videos followed on thursday after tuesday releases.
The first track off the #JoeyTunesDay was performed over the Pittsburgh mixtape wunderkind, Wiz Khalifa’s smash hit Black and Yellow – a favourite track of the producer and singer. He takes the hook, the first verse with Rapper Young Pizzy on the second verse and fast rising singer High Bee seeing the track to finish. He released a follow up single while #JoeyTunesDay lasted titled 'E no eazy'.
Here's a third single - Touch ur toes and remix to his debut single - No Tym featuring Uk Nigerian artistes - Big Tizzy and rapper Dolla Billz.
