Sky Nightingale without any doubt is one of the promising leaders of the new school and the new voice of hiphop-Soul, with his creative and commendable attempt at blending indigenous street language with contemporary soul music.
The first single is a soothing and sensual 'baby-making' song which I see as a paradigm shift from the regular Nigerian love song. He was able to paint a good picture with his lyrics in a very descriptive manner that will make his listeners mind travel on a seductive voyage. The song titled'DODOKIDO' (prod. by SARZ, coprod. by SKY NIGHTINGALE) is a combination of Soul, Hip-hop and Electronica sounds and I foresee it to be one of the biggest songs this year.
The second single titled 'IKEBE SUPER' is styled in free flowing, witty rhymes with fresh street vocabulary carefully laid on a very 'sick' dance hall beat produced by MIC DAVIES. This feel good song will definitely raise roofs and get you moving whenever its being played.
With this two singles, Sky Nightingale hasn't only shown us he is capable of taking us from the bedroom to the club, he has also given us a hint that he might be the best of both worlds.
