BRAINS COLLIDE
Micworx, A production outfit based In Lagos and known for production for the likes of Mike Anyasodo, Mode 9, Contradiction, Zara, Goldie to name a few finally drops the highly anticipated follow-up in the Brains Collide project. The Brains Collide Project is a platform where independent artists get put on, to work with the production team, creating a synergy between unsigned artists & the fans for good music which has been lacking n the genre of Hip Hop around these parts, Nigeria.
The first edition which showcases sparse vocal contributions & production from veteran rapper and hip hop producer, Venomous C.E.O. Micworx & One of Okoko’s finest and fast rising emcee K slim. The album inception which grew off a song and garnered buzz off the first singles which was uploaded for free download earlier this year off various blog sites & download sites prompting the next selection of tracks from the forth coming ‘’BREAKIN’ NEWS’’ album, as the EP titled “UNCONFIRMED REPORT” which drops on Saturday the 9th of October 2011. The EP which has a nostalgic classic hip hop feel blended with Nigerian sounds, which creates a sound that cuts across. On brains collide, K slim delivers eccentric lyrical skills, to rhythms produced by venomous and the Micworx team, while it also carries cameo appearances from other musical heavy weights such as Industry head & Hip Hop veteran, Mi Fliss, spoken word poet SeeReal Oma, project fame alumni Anis Halloway, 5Mics, Squeeze & Dramin to name a few, as well as vocals by venomous, which in all gave it a very unique feel.
The 7-track EP, is hosted by one of Nigerian’s finest, award winning Dj Humility of Rhythm Fm. The first single “Poetry rhythm”, which was previously released to various internet sites, has beyond doubts, have recorded massive impact. The follow up single of the EP titled “turn me on” featuring dance hall sensation Pasha. The third and final single before the Ep drops is titled “ibo le wa” and it features Fast rising star Ademola and was produced by MicWorx newest Inclusion Emmy Ace, sure made even greater impact as listeners are sent to the dance floor yet again. The forth coming EP would be available FREE for download here on “--------------------------” and then various blogs, music promotional sites, internet youth forums and several others. So people get ready to reshuffle your playlist, as the shock wave from the collision of brains is about to steal your ear drums.
