Interview With Lyricz - My Album Is More Like A Success Story

Afrik: hmmmm, it’s been a while peeps but we are back fully and this time with a young, creative, handsome and unique artist. They call him LYRICZ but I call him Mr. Rekpete. Hw u dey my brother?

Lyricz: Am so rekpetelised

Afrik: Lol, nice one, so before we go further kindly tell your lovely fans who LYRICZ is briefly as usual

Lyricz: Real names Nwanokwai Kingsley, from the south DELTA STATE to be precise. Born in kaduna but breed in Asaba delta state

Afrik: Wow interesting, So tell us more about the lyrical (music) aspect of you. How long has it been in you and more about the Rekpete hit track, how it all came about

Lyricz: ​Ok lyrical music is more like a dream and hustle ‎​ started from my tender age ‎​i have been building the name and ‎​I can proudly say LYRICAL MUSIC is more like a dream come true now.

Rekpete wasn't composed, ‎​I hooked up with one of my producer called UC PROF who told me he had a beat ready for me and if ‎​I could come  make sumtin out of noting from it, so ‎​i got into the studio and all of sudden rekpete became a song. I would say my producer inspired me on dat song.

Afrik: Wow, funny enough I hardly get good songs that are not composed. But tell us, how long have you been in the industry and what difficulties do you experience

Lyricz: i have been around since way back but ‎​i would say professionally ‎​i got into the industry 2009 and the only difficulties am having right now is understanding the expectations from my rekpetelised fans, in as much as am trying the best ‎​i can to make them always feel entertained some would still take it as an offence. Which could really be a though one for any artist.

Afrik: hmmm, recently we noticed you have been the talk of the season mostly "ONLINE" with your new hit track featuring award winner Wizkid and Rugged Man, personally was it difficult getting both artist on one track and what do you see as the advantages of the online promo

Lyricz: Hmmm honestly speaking putting wizkid on the track was like hell, becuz then he was on his album project so he kept posting on us here and there, but ‎​would say it was worth the whole time we spent on that track, as for ruggedman he has only been ℓi̶̲̥̅ke̶̲̥̅ a motivator to ♍€ and he guides ♍€ with luv and supports, so when ‎​i told him ‎​i wanted him on the track, he was happy doing it for me.
Am happy with the responds so far since the track was been released, and it makes ♍€ wanna drop the video for d track any moment from now.

Afrik: That's lovely, less I forget, you did another hit single featuring YQ which you dropped few days after the online release of the track with Wizkid and Rugged Man. What should we be expecting in you forth-coming album

Lyricz: Very correct, that joint is another single that has been giving me a great review accross the continent and boasting my fanbase as well, as for my album is more like a success story and ‎​i would been working with some undisclosed big names in the industry to get this project done

Afrik: we just can't wait to grab a copy soonest. So tell us, who is that lady that puts a smile of your face (no mind us o, its our usual question)

Lyricz: My mum heheheheh

Lyricz: Only thing ‎​ can say is, yes we all know the road to success is narrow so u have to be focus to ur dream and determined to, above all without God nothing can be achieved so put him first in all you do
